Espy finishes third in Nation at Skate Race Today

I hope everyone has had a good start to the week. It looks like the weather will hold for Eastern High School Championships this weekend. Good luck! It's been two good days of racing this week. NE skiers dominated the classic sprint on Monday. With two New England skiers disqualified, NE was holding the overall lead heading into today.

Today was the interval start skate race. The highlight for us was MCN's own Adele Espy finishing third overall! Adele was the top NE skier in both the J1 and OJ class. It was a tough course, lots of steep hills and lots of ice. Being out here watching the NE skiers race well reinforces the fact that the New England Eastern Cup is the most competitive junior circuit in the country. In most cases, top ten Eastern Cup skiers are finishing in the top twenty nationally.

I hope everyone has a good rest of the week. If you're not racing, keep skiing as much as you can! I'll try to update the blog if time allows.
