Training schedule- July 19-31

Hi Team,

Great week of training so far!  This Saturday (July 16) we are running the Clam Festival 5-miler as a team. Today is the last day to sign up online. There should be day of race registration OR you can run without registering if you don't care about getting an official time.  We will meet at 7:45AM @ The Royal Bean, at 18 Yarmouth Crosssing (right off the railroad tracks on Main St.).

Here is the training schedule for the week of July 19:

Tuesday, July 19- 8-10AM Meet @ Blackstrap Hill Preserve, Parking off of Hurricane Rd.
There is a small parking area right after the bridge on Hurricane. Please try and carpool.

Race Group: 1:30 hour, distance trail run.
Devo Group: 1 hour trail run.

Wednesday, July 20- 8-10AM, Hill climbing festival. Meet @ Corner of Rte. 231 at Cobb's Bridge Rd., at the New Gloucester Village Store. Great post-workout food!

Race: Uphill V1 intervals (hard!).  1.5 hours total. Skate roll.
Devo: V1 uphill skate technique. Skate roll.

Thursday, July 21- 5:30-7PM, meet @ Twinbrooks.  Sharpen your pole tips!

Race: 1 hour classic roller ski w/ specific strength.
Devo: Classic roller ski w/ specific strength.

Sunday, July 24- 8:30-10:30AM, meet @ Falmouth High School. Overdistance classic roller ski.

Tuesday, July 26- Leave for Fort Kent @ 8:00AM from Yarmouth Park and Ride.

Sunday, July 31- Return from FK, approximately return to Yarmouth Park and Ride @ 8PM.

Alternate training/practice schedule for those not going to Fort Kent forthcoming.
