Day 2 Final Eastern Cup

Another great Eastern Cup performance today. Today's race was a classical race at Holderness. In the J1/Women race there were 98 finishers. Here are the results:

Holly Whitney, 15th, her best EC of the season!
Ingrid Knowles, 21st
Adele Espy, 38th

In the J2 Womens race, Rachel Hall, racing as a J3, finished 16th overall for the second straight day. Awesome Job Rachel.

Special congrats to Ingrid Knowles and Adele Espy for qualifying for the New England Junior Olympic team, Holly Whitney qualified for the JO team as the first alternate. They were one of 15 Women taken in the J1/OJ class. For the entire Eastern Cup series, Ingrid finished 4th overall, Adele 15th, and Holly 16th. For those who didn't race this weekend, check out the final standings on http://www.nensa.net. Two JO definites and most likely a third JO qualifier from Maine Coast Nordic is OUTSTANDING!

In the final rankings of the J2 class, Rachel Hall finished 17th, again racing as a J3 in the J2 class. Congrats Rachel.

Lucas Milliken didn't race on Sunday. Based on his Saturday performance and previous Eastern Cups, he finished 28th overall.

It was a great MCN performance this weekend. For the other MCN skiers racing on Monday, Good Luck! You've all worked hard.
